Kneeling Chop

Great For Posture Improvement

Description

Hold the Helium 6 with one palm facing up and the other facing down. Be sure the hand position is wider than shoulder width to allow a full range of motion. Get into a half kneeling position. The arms should remain straight while the cross- chopping motion is performed. Keep the torso rigid and upright throughout the entire movement.

Benefits

The Kneeling Chop is a great mobility drill for the shoulders while strengthening the oblique and lumbar muscles (preventing rotation during the chop motion)

Variations

Experiment with the different hand positions on the Helium 6 (shoulder width, narrow or wide grip- palms facing up or down)
